Terms and Conditions

Limited Liability

PC One Computer Solutions shall not be liable for any claims regarding the physical functioning of equipment/media or the condition or existence of data on storage media supplied before, during or after service.

In no event will PC One Computer Solutions be liable for any damage to the laptop/desktop, loss of data, loss of revenue or profits, or any special, incidental, contingent, or consequential damages, however caused, before, during or after service even if PC One Computer Solutions has been advised of the possibility of damages or loss to persons or property. PC One Computer Solutions liability of any kind with respect to the services, including any negligence on its part, shall be limited to the contract price for the services.

The client and PC One Computer Solutions agree that the sole and exclusive remedy for unsatisfactory work or data shall be, at PC One Computer Solutions option, additional attempts by PC One Computer Solutions to recover satisfactory data or refund of the amount paid by the client. The parties acknowledge that the price of PC One Computer Solutions services would be much greater PC One Computer Solutions undertook more extensive liability.

The client is aware of the inherent risks of injury and property damage involved in laptop/desktop repair, including without limitation, risks due to destruction or damage to the machine, media, or data and inability to repair the machine or recover data, including those that may result from the negligence of PC One Computer Solutions, and assumes any and all known risks of injury and property damage that may results.


Upon initial inspection of the equipment, an estimate will be provided for the necessary repairs.

For work quotations above £1000 a deposit of 25% for goods and services will be required prior to the commencement of the works.

The acceptance of an estimate or quotation for a service or repairs and instruction to proceed by the Client either verbally by telephone or in person, or in electronic mail shall be deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Unclaimed Equipment

Any equipment left with PC One Computer Solutions and unclaimed for 30 days, will be disposed of to recover our costs incurred while carrying out a quotation, service or repair. After this period, PC One Computer Solutions shall have no liability to the Client or any third party.


PC One Computer Solutions agrees not to disclose any and all information or data files supplied with, stored on, or recovered from client’s equipment except to employees of PC One Computer Solutions subject to confidentiality agreements or as required by law. Any client data or files will be stored on a 256-bit AES encrypted data server owned and maintained by PC One Computer Solutions.


PC One Computer Solutions will not install/configure any software the customer provides if we believe it to be illegal.

It is the customers responsibility to install any software that is not supplied to us at the time of repair. If upon return of devices we are asked to install software that we were not initially supplied/agree to do we reserve the right to charge an additional hourly charge.

Non Compatible Software

The Customer understands and accepts that some software applications may no longer work correctly after a repair or upgrade has taken place. This may be due to the installation of the latest hardware or software. It is therefore the Client’s responsibility to reinstall or reconfigure these applications.

Onsite Visit Cancellations

You may cancel an agreed home or business call out at any time up to 2 hours prior to the agreed appointment time. Cancellations made in sufficient time will be entitled to a full refund of any funds paid in advance. If you cancel or change an appointment within 2 hours prior to the agreed time, the Client will be subject to a charge equivalent to 1 hour our standard hourly rate.

Service or repair cancellations can be communicated by any of the following:

  • Email
  • Telephone
  • Text Message

If no one was available when an engineer calls to the Client’s premises, a note or voicemail will be left confirming the call out. A new appointment can be re-scheduled however, the Client will be subject to a charge equivalent to 1 hour our standard hourly rate in addition to the costs of the service or repairs.

Manufactures Warranty

During the performance of our services, we may affect a manufacturer’s warranty validity. It is the Clients responsibility to determine the consequences of our services on any manufacturer’s warranty and take the appropriate action necessary.

Beyond Economical Repair

PC One Computer Solutions will always try to inform the client if we feel their equipment is beyond economical repair. This will be our opinion only and should not discourage the customer from seeking a second opinion.

Client Legal Rights

The Client is the legal owner of the computer equipment handed over to The Computer Repair Clinic for repairs. It is also acknowledged that all data stored on the computer equipment is the Clients property and The Computer Repair Clinic is not permitted to access this data without the explicit permission of the Client.

Client Data

PC One Computer Solutions will make every possible effort to preserve the Client’s data, files and software, however it should be noted that there are NO GUARANTEES whatsoever that the Clients data, files and software will remain intact after the repairs.


Charges will incur if PC One Computer Solutions has to perform a lengthy backup procedure to protect the Clients own data in order to complete the repairs.

We cannot be held responsible for the following:

  • Loss or corruption of data, files, information or records;
  • Any loss of business goodwill
  • Any losses attributed to the interruption to business activity while equipment is out of service for repairs
  • Failure by the Client to follow our reasonable recommendations, instructions and advice to back up data
  • Any losses you may suffer arising from failure to use anti-virus software
  • Any loss considered to be unforeseeable
  • Damage resulting from viruses or other malicious software that may have been transmitted during servicing or repairs and therefore escaped detection

PC One Computer Solutions will not be liable for any damage caused to other equipment by parts supplied following any repair.


Payment is due in full on the date of the invoice, prior to the release of the equipment whether delivered to the Clients address or picked up from PC One Computer Solutions place of business unless by special previous arrangement.

If credit terms are approved, payment in full must be made within 14 days from the date of the invoice. Beyond the 14 days, we have the right to add an additional 5% penalty of the total invoice for each week of non-payment.

Overdue payments may place the Client on credit hold. This means no further services, repairs or equipment will be supplied or made available to the Client until all previous payments are paid in full. PC One Computer Solutions may at its discretion withdraw credit facilities at any time if the Client is found to be in breach of these terms and conditions.

We will accept payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer. In circumstances when goods are supplied, you will only own these goods when payment in full is received.

Remote Support

Whilst PC One Computer Solutions will use reasonable amounts of skill and care to resolve problems you have referred to us, you accept that we may not be able to correct your problem using our remote support service due to circumstances beyond our control. In the event that it is not possible, we will discuss alternative methods with you in order to resolve your problem, including our onsite service.

We rely on the information you give us to operate this service. Such information must be complete and as accurate as possible to enable us to effectively resolve your problem.


PC One Computer Solutions provides a 30 day return to base warranty on labor only repairs carried out on computer equipment requested by the Client. PC One Computer Solutions makes no warranty for data or computer files either expressed or implied. PC One Computer Solutions disclaims any data warranty of any kind. If the same problem re-occurs within 14 days of the original repair, PC One Computer Solutions will undertake the repair again without charge. However, charges will be incurred should additional parts are required. This warranty excludes faults caused by viruses, windows updates or other software issues.

All new items supplied by PC One Computer Solutions come with a 12 month return to base hardware only warranty from the date of the invoice unless stated otherwise. This warranty also excludes faults caused by viruses, windows updates or other software issues. In some instances, we may offer second hand or reconditioned parts at a reduced cost. The Client will be consulted if they are willing to accept second hand or used parts prior to fitting. A 30 day return to base hardware warranty will be provided with second hand or reconditioned parts.

Any warranty offered will become invalid if the manufacturers marked label is removed or tampered with in any way from the parts installed during a repair.

Parts are only covered under warranty that fail due to manufacturing defects for the said parts and confirmed by the component manufacturer. Should the part fail because of mishandling of the computer equipment or inadequate subsequent servicing or failure from “fair wear and tear” the warranty becomes invalid.

Damage to a computer system or its components supplied by PC One Computer Solutions under a repair contract caused by a power surge or spikes, including but not limited to mains power and telecoms connections or other unspecified sources e.g. voltage fluctuation, amperage fluctuation, water ingress are not covered under the warranty.

Furthermore, the warranty does not cover for any loss or damage due to negligence, mishandling, accidents, theft, water flooding, war outbreak, electrical storms, fire outbreak, earthquakes, or any other act of God.

Please note all items covered by our warranty are on a return to base basis, meaning you will need to return the equipment to us. Any items collected from a customer’s home or business premise are subject to a call out fee, customers will be made are of this upon any warranty claim.

Privacy Policy

Our Pledge on Privacy

The term “personal data” in this Policy refers to information such as your name, e-mail address or mailing address, that can be used to identify you. PC One Computer Solutions will not process your personal data without your consent. We fully comply with internationally recognized standards of privacy protection and ensure compliance by our staff with strict standards of security and confidentiality.

We don’t disclose your information

PC One Computer Solutions will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute your personal data to third parties outside the PC One Computer Solutions. Your consent: Your consent may always be revoked at a later date. If consent is revoked PC One Computer Solutions may not be able to carry out certain requests made by you and PC One Computer Solutions will, where practicable, withdraw you’re your data

Your right of Access

You have the right to update your personal data or to require its deletion. If you wish to access or correct your personal data held by us, please contact PC One Computer Solutions. Your requests will be dealt with in a prompt and proper manner. No charge will be levied for complying with a correction request.

Anonymous Data and “Cookies”

Most of the information that PC One Computer Solutions collects from its website(s) is anonymous information, such as the pages you visit and searches you perform. When you visit our website we do not collect any personal data from you unless otherwise authorized by you. Anonymous information is processed by PC One Computer Solutions to help improve the contents of the site and to compile aggregate statistics about individuals using our site for internal, market research purposes. In so doing, PC One Computer Solutions may install “cookies” that collect the first level domain name of the user (e.g., “pcfix.com” from an e-mail address of “[email protected]”) and the date and time of access. “Cookies” by themselves cannot be used to discover the identity of the user. How we use your Personal Data

PC One Computer Solutions processes personal data for specific and limited purposes which we inform you about when we ask you for information. The information you send to PC One Computer Solutions is used only to either help generate a quotation or to process your order, and is otherwise kept private. PC One Computer Solutions keeps your data only for as long as is reasonably needed for such purposes and in accordance with any legal or documentation retention requirements.


PC One Computer Solutions does not condone “spamming”. Spamming is defined as sending unsolicited e-mails, usually of a commercial nature, in large numbers and repeatedly to individuals with whom the sender has had no previous contact or who have declined to receive such communications. If PC One Computer Solutions believes that a certain PC One Computer Solutions product or information is of importance to you it reserves the right to inform you by e-mail whilst giving you the choice of opting out of such service.

Your data is kept securely and confidentially

To ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data that PC One Computer Solutions collects on-line, PC One Computer Solutions uses data networks protected, inter alia, by industry standard firewall password protection and encryption. Access to personal data is restricted to those employees who have a need to use the data and who have been trained to handle such data properly and observe strict standards of confidentiality. If an employee breaches our policies and procedures he/she will be disciplined accordingly. Staff compliance with our policies and procedures is regularly audited and reviewed. While we cannot guarantee against any loss, misuse or alteration to data, we try to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
